Our magnificent Upton House has hosted civil ceremonies and wedding receptions for more than 20 years.
Catering for an array of party sizes with the flexibility to suit your own taste and style, with a choice of State Rooms for your Ceremony – from intimate parties of 15 people, and stunning Georgian splendour for larger groups of up to 70.
The Upton House Wedding Team will be on hand to ensure everything goes smoothly on the day, from providing a warm welcome and friendly face when nerves might be kicking in to playing your chosen ceremony music.

After your ceremony, use of the Grand Entrance Hall and stunning parklands, gardens, woodlands and shoreline areas for your wedding photographs.

Book your Registrar
We work closely with the Registrars based in Poole to deliver your perfect ceremony, with the timing of your day led by Registrar availability. There is a separate charge for their services. Registrars can be contacted on 01202 633744 or by email at registrars@bcpcouncil.gov.uk. Available weekdays 9am–4.30pm (4pm on Friday), and at bcpcouncil.gov.uk.
Personalise your Ceremony
We encourage you to personalise your ceremony, with your own choice of readings and music. Perhaps you’d like to book live music such as a string quartet, a singer or an acoustic band? Adding chair covers, flowers and other decorative touches will enhance the beauty of your room and create the individual style that makes your wedding day so special.
A wonderful underrated venue
Upton House was the perfect venue for us. We had an amazing day. The setting was beautiful and the staff were wonderful. One thing we loved is how many rooms you have available. With the help of the team at Upton in the planning stages we found great ways to use each space differently, in a way to add to the day! I can’t recommend Upton House enough and the price is even better!
Spring Wedding
We got married on 17 May 2025, we chose UCP as we are there pretty much every week with our 3 children, so it was the perfect venue for us. The House is stunning, with lovely open light rooms and a quirky, hidden bar. It barely needed any decoration. The grounds are beautiful, and perfect for photos, especially as the sun was out! The staff were great, very professional and everything ran smoothly. Lauren told us not to think or worry about a thing and to enjoy our day… and we really did! I would highly recommend UCP as a venue.
Wedding Reception
We had our wedding reception at Upton House and it was the most magical experience. From the very beginning Lauren was friendly, responsive and listening to us. Upton House is the most beautiful scene for any event. I couldn’t have asked for more and we were blown away with how easy everything was for us. Thank you so much for everything.

The day of my dreams
Upton House and Country Park is an absolutely amazing place to get married. We decided to hire the house for the day and I couldn’t have wished for anywhere better to get married. The staff were incredible and the grounds are stunning, we were also given a very reasonable price. This will stay with me forever and I cannot explain how blessed I feel to have had the day of my dreams at Upton.
