Our beautiful Walled Garden provides a glorious setting for a summer wedding celebration with friends & family!
Exclusive and Tranquil
For parties of up to 500 people.
This one acre of enclosed outdoor space becomes exclusively yours for the duration of your wedding day, with partial closures to the public the day before & after to ensure there is time enough for you to add your personal touch.
Limited availability
The Walled Garden has very limited availability due to the rare and unique nature of the space, meaning your wedding will have that extra touch of exclusivity too! Bookings are taken on specific dates in May, June, July and September, so please be sure to get in touch with the Wedding Team in good time if this is your heart’s desire.
Combined Ceremony & Reception
The ceremony room in Upton House can be combined with your Walled Garden hire to ensure you make the most of everything the Country Park has to offer. Follow your ceremony with a Drinks Reception in the Entrance Hall before leading your guests to a beautiful Walled Garden marquee for the main event.

Finishing touches and little extras
Are you looking for a comfortable getting-ready space for the bridal party? Garden games to entertain guests of all ages? Or perhaps you’d like to extend your special day and keep the party going until midnight? With outdoor seating for a summer evening?
Our wedding team can advice on an array of unique finishing touches to add to your chosen wedding package should you wish to include them in your celebrations; please refer to our brochure for details and prices.
Both DJs and live bands can easily be accommodated in the Walled Garden (remember to allow space in your marquee!) and you can get creative with the catering – with anything from a barbeque, to a three course sit-down meal, to a fish & chip van or paella truck!

Once your choice of Marquee is made you are free to select your own suppliers, giving you control at every stage and ensuring your special day is all about you. All suppliers hired for your Reception will need to have up-to-date public liability insurance and PAT Testing certification where relevant.

The first step is to book your visit for a personalised viewing, and check our availability; from then we can provisionally hold any date for 2 weeks whilst you review your budgets, catering options and organise crucial suppliers.
A wonderful underrated venue
Upton House was the perfect venue for us. We had an amazing day. The setting was beautiful and the staff were wonderful. One thing we loved is how many rooms you have available. With the help of the team at Upton in the planning stages we found great ways to use each space differently, in a way to add to the day! I can’t recommend Upton House enough and the price is even better!
Spring Wedding
We got married on 17 May 2025, we chose UCP as we are there pretty much every week with our 3 children, so it was the perfect venue for us. The House is stunning, with lovely open light rooms and a quirky, hidden bar. It barely needed any decoration. The grounds are beautiful, and perfect for photos, especially as the sun was out! The staff were great, very professional and everything ran smoothly. Lauren told us not to think or worry about a thing and to enjoy our day… and we really did! I would highly recommend UCP as a venue.
Wedding Reception
We had our wedding reception at Upton House and it was the most magical experience. From the very beginning Lauren was friendly, responsive and listening to us. Upton House is the most beautiful scene for any event. I couldn’t have asked for more and we were blown away with how easy everything was for us. Thank you so much for everything.

Upton House and Country Park is an absolutely amazing place to get married. We decided to hire the house for the day and I couldn’t have wished for anywhere better to get married.
